Provided By Your Experienced Paris Orthodontist

At McClain Orthodontics, we understand the importance of having a beautiful smile for aesthetic and functional purposes. Our orthodontic treatments are designed to give you the smile that you've always wanted in an effective and comfortable manner. Although many of our patients choose to wear traditional metal braces, this is not the only option that we offer at our office. Our Paris, TN Invisalign treatment is a great alternative for those who wish to straighten their smile without having to worry about the metal wirings. These aligners are practically invisible to others so it has become an increasingly popular method for our patients!

How Does Invisalign Work?

Wearing Invisalign on teethInvisalign is used to correct various dental problems such as teeth that are widely gapped, overly crowded, or a combination of both. To start your Invisalign treatment, you will begin with a consultation with Dr. Michael P. McClain to determine if you are a suitable candidate. We suggest that you take this opportunity to ask any questions you may have about Invisalign including costs, insurance, and any other concerns.

Using x-rays and impression of your teeth to create a digital 3D image, we will go over your treatment plan of how your teeth will look and how long the treatment will last. Based on your individualized plan, a series of custom-made, clear aligners will be made specifically for you. The aligners are made of a BPA-free clear plastic that fits easily over your teeth to ensure comfort and ease of wear.

How Long Do I Have To Wear Invisalign?

Approximately every two weeks, you will be given a new set of clear aligners that must be worn for 20 to 22 hours a day. This will ensure the fastest and best results throughout the Invisalign® treatment process. We also suggest scheduling a follow-up appointment with your Paris orthodontist every 8 to 10 weeks to monitor your progress. Since every patient is different, the treatment time may vary; however, we typically say that on average it would take 9 to 15 months. Once the treatment is complete, you will need retainers to maintain and protect your new beautiful smile. Since Invisalign is designed to be removable, you can easily take them out to clean your teeth, to eat, and to drink. To clean your clear aligners, you can simply brush and rinse them in lukewarm water.
